Cores Worldwide Inc. was contracted to complete major overhauls on 2 of the 4 main engines, major overhauls to all 4 front ends of the main engines and to complete major overhauls to all 4 blowers on the main engines. The job required CORES to fly servicemen, tools and equipment into St John’s, Newfoundland. CORES disassembled 2 of the 4 main engines, all 4 front ends and all 4 blowers and had all the parts and major components sent to the CORES plant. All parts and components were reconditioned, the engines, front-ends and blowers were reassembled to manufacturer’s specifications and sea trialed. All work was completed on time and on budget.
